A hot summer track, created as a test, to checkout some new samples, and DAT recordings.
And a two different microphones is tested, was used for the vocal also.
This track was build in a few days, and in a very happy spirit, though the poem is a bit dark.
It was may, and pure spring power chose the BPM and style. Summer is soon here. Created in the days around Copenhagen Carnival 2007. The actually poem in this track, is actually from three different poems, and was chosen by a accident. A lot of Havana Rum & Cola was involved here also…
It might be a series of readings, with different guest vocals and various poems, or story reading. I have a curiosity for poetry and story readings, and this track is the second test with guest vocal, made together with by my friend Johan. Hopefully soon in the future, but only when time allows. I have some ideas by creating an extended version with even more climax, and more vocals with Johan reading poetry.
The title of the track “Montgomery” has no relations with the poem. Some few days before I start working with this track, I have watch the film “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” for the fourth time. Clearly one of my favorites, and the name is inspired of one of the characters, Uncle Monty played by Billy Connolly.
